Maintaining a yacht and/or boat in South Florida is recommended for the gel coat to be waxed at least once every 2-3 months.
The gel coat is the exterior coating that protects the fiberglass structure of the boat from water intrusion or delamination.
Waxes, sealants, caulking, lubrications and coatings are all recommended to check yearly.
